About Ashab Al-Kisa
Our History
The Center and Hussainiya of Ashab Al-Kisa was established in Helsinki, Finland, to serve the Shia Muslim community and preserve the religious and cultural traditions of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them). Founded by a dedicated group of believers, the center has grown into a vibrant hub for worship, learning, and community gathering.
Our center takes its name from the Hadith Al-Kisa — the Hadith of the Cloak — one of the most sacred narrations in Islamic tradition, which describes the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) gathering the five members of his household under his cloak and declaring them the purified ones (Ahlulbayt).
Our Mission

Who Are Ashab Al-Kisa?
The People of the Cloak (أصحاب الكساء) refers to the five purified members of the Prophet's household mentioned in the Hadith Al-Kisa and confirmed in the Verse of Purification (Quran 33:33).
"Indeed, Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity, O People of the [Prophet's] Household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification."
— Quran 33:33 (Ayah al-Tathir)
